On this tour you will visit Punta Laguna, a paradise hidden from the masses in the Riviera Maya. A Mayan community has been preserving this place for years, where in addition to its impressive lagoon, the spider monkey and the howler monkey are the cherry on top of the adventure that awaits you. In addition, after touring Punta Laguna, we will take you to the archaeological site of Coba.
Pick up at the hotel to go to the Punta Laguna nature reserve. From there, we will start a trekking to observe the spider monkey and the howler monkey. After the trekking, we will take a 150-meter zip line over the lagoon.
We will continue with a canoe ride on the lagoon and then go into the jungle to witness the ritual of a shaman. After the ritual, we will rappel down to a cenote, where we will snorkel. This cenote was a Mayan sacrifice center where we will be able to observe 116 skulls at a depth of about 3 meters.
After the swim we will go to a restaurant in a lagoon near the archaeological site of Coba. There we will have a buffet lunch. It’s time for Coba. We will tour the archaeological site with a guide certified by the National Institute of Archaeology.
Here we will have free time to enjoy the pyramid located inside the jungle. Finally, on the way back to the hotel, we will stop at a Mayan village. Return to the hotel.
